Providing the conditions in which my students can learn.
As a foreign language teacher, I am frequently borrowing other teachers' classrooms - this year history classrooms. So while I like to put various Chinese paraphernalia in my classroom - paintings and scrolls and calligraphy and character charts - I think of what happens in my classroom as being more important than the physical space.
I also like to give students the opportunity to stand up in front of the class and show off their newly acquired language skills. This is an opportunity for them to get feedback, but also to build confidence in their ability.
Below are some examples of stuff I have in my classrooms - all very Chinese. Being a language classroom, to the extent possible I want stuff that is covered with Chinese characters.
